Active Grindleford

Active Grindleford is a community led sports project which Sportworks have been involved with for a number of years.

With a total funding of just over £200K, the majority of investment came from Sport England through the national 'Active England' programme. Significant funding also came from Waste Recycling Environment Limited.

The funding has been used to develop a multi-use games area at the playing fields site as well as funding to employ a sports development officer.

Sportworks have been working with the Playing Fields Association to develop their sports development plans as well as employing the sports development officer on their behalf.
