Archery benefits from bespoke leadership training
Fourteen Archery GB employees have enrolled on a bespoke training programme designed by Sportworks to meet the specific training needs of the organisation.
Using a partnership approach with Derby College, Sportworks is able to deliver the programme at no cost to Archery GB by drawing down Train to Gain funding. The fully funded programme incorporates a customised qualification and is being delivered between August and November 2009. The programme includes:
- 15 hours of training for each delegate with Sportworks expert tutors and business coaches
- A nationally recognised qualification for staff, an NVQ level 2 in Team Leading
The Archery GB Leadership Programme is covering the following elements:
- Developing and improving leadership skills
- Customer service
- Personal effectiveness and managing your own resources
- Implementing change
- Empowering yourself
- Time management
Sportworks flexible, needs-led approach means that all elements of the programme are being delivered at the organisation’s head office at the National Sports Centre in Lilleshall, so there are no additional travel costs for staff.
