Having completed the economic impact study for the World Championships in Manchester next year, Sportworks has now been retained by the English Lacrosse Association to help deliver key elements of this major sporting event.  Being held at Manchester University’s Sports Ground from 14-25 July 2010, this is expected to be the biggest lacrosse World Championships ever and the biggest event to be held in Manchester since the Commonwealth Games in 2002.

Sportworks have already set up an online ticket solution with tickets on sale via the website www.2010worldlacrosse.com/tickets - there is also a current offer for lacrosse clubs in England to receive Premier Club Partner status and a whole host of benefits by gaining credits for any season ticket booked through them.

Sportworks is also handling the sponsorship requirements for the event, developing a range of packages for local, national and international level partners.  We will also be working on the Park and Ride scheme to provide the 40,000+ spectators with easy and convenient access to the event as well as ensuring a lasting legacy through the development of an annual international lacrosse event to be held in Manchester.

Tom Wenham, Director, Sportworks said, “We are delighted to extend our relationship with the ELA and to be working in partnership with them across a number of our service areas.  We are finding that many of our clients are taking advantage of our extended service offer as it means they only have to use one agency for much of the work they need to outsource.”
