FESCos rate Sportworks Training as "excellent"

The Youth Sport Trust recently appointed a network of Further Education Sports Co-ordinators (‘FESCos’) to develop sport and recreation within the Further Education Sector. This challenging role aims to tackle the ‘drop off’ in participation post 16 and encourage engagement in volunteering and coaching.

Business Honours Club members Sportworks designed a one day workshop around the unique role, demonstrating how leadership and influencing skills can be specifically applied in a sports development and sports management context.

The first course in this national programme was delivered on 5th November in Durham where delegates rated the course as ‘excellent’. Comments included:

“the workshop has taught us new ways to deliver and encourage students to get involved"

“good information and extremely informative”.
