Sportworks seals Premier League deal
Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers FC celebrated a successful season in which they not only retained their top level status, but also signed the biggest kit deal in the club’s 133 year history. Sportworks played a key role in negotiating the lucrative three year deal which brings established sportswear brand Burrda into the UK football market with their first kit deal. As finding agent, Sportworks brought both parties together for talks around the new kit supply deal, and were witness to the signing of what is a valuable agreement for both sides.
Burrda General Manager, Charles Diab, thanked Sportworks for their excellent efforts in finding, what they hope to be, the first of many UK football clubs to wear the Burrda brand. Diab said;
We’ve always planned to enter the UK football market and when the chance came with a club steeped in history as Wolves is, we knew the fit was right.
Wolves Chief Executive Jez Moxey commenting on the deal said;
Today’s announcement represents the end of a thorough process to secure a new kit manufacturer that combines quality products for our fans with the best possible commercial deal for the football club.
The club unveiled the new home kit in their final game of the season, with players wearing it for the clash against Sunderland on Sunday 9 May. The away kit was also revealed at the club’s End of Season Awards, with both going on sale on 18 June at Molineux and their Dudley Street retail store and online at www.theclubshop.co.uk/wolves.
