Sportworks sponsors YST School Sport Partnership Award
The Youth Sport Trust’s School Sport Partnership Conference and Exhibition took centre stage at the International Centre, Telford in October. Sportworks Group, as full members of the YST Business Honours Club, were there in force promoting its services to delegates.
Sportworks director, Matthew Green said “this conference provides an excellent platform for us to promote our Employment and Recruitment services as well as our CPD provision. A number of our clients attend, so it also gives us the chance to catch up with them too”.
A popular highlight of the two day event was the ‘School Sport Partnership Innovation Awards’. A series of awards presented to SSPs who have demonstrated innovation across a number of specific areas. Each category was sponsored by a Business Honours Club Member.
Sportworks were delighted to put their name to the ‘Using School Sport Coaches to Leverage additional local Funding’ award. Sportworks director, Gary Hargraves was joined on stage by England women’s cricket captain, Charlotte Edwards and YST Ambassador, Gail Emms to present the award to this years winners, Netherall SSP & Comberton SSP, Cambridgeshire, East. A voucher for £1500.00 was handed over to the winners to be used against Sportworks Training Courses.
Gary Hargraves congratulated the winners and the runners-up and was joined by Baroness Campbell for a series of photos with the winners.
Sue Barratt, Youth Sport Trust, commented,
"Your support has given Netherhall SSP and Comberton SSP the opportunity to develop their innovative approach into a programme other SSPs can benefit and learn from in the future. Thank you."
