Clare is an experienced trainer, facilitator and project manager with over 16 years' experience in both the public and private sectors. She now runs the sports development consultancy Prospects 4 Sport. She has drawn from experience of the industry in previous roles at Sport England, the London Borough of Redbridge and as principal consultant for PMP.
About the course
This popular workshop is for anyone with responsibility for managing and leading teams of people. It will help you to understand how different people can work well together and what makes a balanced team as well as how you can develop trust and agreement amongst your colleagues.
This course contributes to National Occupational Standards Unit A324 (Develop Productive Working Relationships with Colleagues) and Unit A327 (Manage an effective workforce for sport and active leisure).

This course will help you to:
- understand how different people can work well together and what makes a balanced team
- run effective meetings and communicate well
- understand how outside factors can affect how you relate to others
- develop a personal action plan to address the important relationship issues in your working environment
By the end of the course you will:
- have identified why good working relationships are important
- understand how different issues hinder personal relationships
- understand how personality types affect working relationships
- have identified the balance required for good team working
- have learnt tools for effective communication, giving and receiving feedback and conflict resolution
- understand how the environment you work in can affect working relationships
- have explored how you can develop trust and agreement amongst your colleagues
- have developed a personal action plan for how you will change your working practices to improve relationships with colleagues
