Location: Based in our office in Derbyshire but working on projects throughout the UK
Salary: £28K - £35K plus benefits
Sportworks provides tailored solutions to the sport, leisure and education sectors with one of our core business areas being event management. This area is expanding rapidly and we are now looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our dynamic team.
Based in our Derbyshire offices the successful candidate will work across the United Kingdom on our growing portfolio of events. We predominantly manage elite level events on behalf of national governing bodies of sport, funded through UK Sport's World Class Events Programme. However we also support a range of clients with other events including conferences, product launches and sports festivals.
Therefore, whilst specific knowledge of elite events would be an advantage, we require a versatile individual with a wide breadth of experience. You will have worked at a managerial level with a strong emphasis on client relationships and partnership working. Your experience will extend from planning through to implementation and evaluation and specialist knowledge of event sponsorship and promotion would be a definite advantage.
As well as an ability to manage all aspects of the event management function successful candidates will also display a clear ability to identify and generate new business opportunities.
