I would like to take the opportunity to firstly thank you and the team for all the effort and advice that you put in to making the placement an enjoyable and educational experience.
 
It really is a rare occurence to find a company particularly a private company who are willing to go the extra mile in order to help university students or graduates such as myself in gaining that valuable time in employment that helps to give us the skills to take forward into full time employment.
 
I felt that my time with you was a great chance to experience the sporting side of the events industry and I really feel that I came away with a lot in terms of understanding, gaining knowledge and meeting the people that make up the industry. So I want to again thank you for the opportunity you gave me.
 
In terms of feedback, I can't think of any weaknesses that stand out from my time at Sportworks. I would say that I was disappointed to have come at a time where no live events were taking place - which was unfortunate timing more than anything else. It would be an invaluable experience for someone like myself to see the planning stages right through to implementation.
 
However, on the positive side of which there were plenty. Firstly it struck me at how open the team was - in particular yourself leading the team - to taking on placement students to share their advice and experiences with. Everyone was a great help in making me feel welcome and as an equal in the team.
 
I was impressed with the responsibilty you gave me in tackling the two initial projects with Russell. It gave me the confidence to try different approaches and work to my own initiative a valuable skill to take to any job. The consistent yet subtle support you offered and from all the team was great in giving me the opportunity to figure things out for myself with the knowledge that help was there is needed.
 
I would like to think that my time at Sportworks helped the company in a mutually beneficial way too.
 
As final feedback and for you to use at any time you wish for further communications with Sheffield Hallam University I would like to say that - "Sportworks as a company are a rare find in their approach to offering placement opportunities. As a team they are both inclusive and challenging in the experiences they offer. To any student looking for a valuable placement towards any career not just in sport, I would recommend Sportworks to anyone"
